Dr. Imelda Lumban Gaol is an experienced orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee surgery, with extensive training both nationally and internationally. She completed her Hip and Knee Subspecialist training at Dr. Soetomo General Hospital in Surabaya in 2022 and pursued a Knee Fellowship at AZ Monica Hospital in Belgium the same year. Her advanced orthopedic training includes an Orthopaedic Fellowship at Hiroshima University in Japan (2016) and an Orthopaedic & Traumatology Residency Program at Universitas Airlangga (2017). Dr. Gaol holds an M.D. from Universitas Sumatera Utara, earned in 2008.

With 7 years of experience, Dr. Gaol currently practices as an Orthopaedic and Traumatology Surgeon at EMC Sentul Hospital in West Java and the Nicolaas Institute of Constructive Orthopaedics Research and Education Foundation for Arthroplasty & Sport Medicine at Medistra Hospital in Jakarta. Her previous experience includes working at Suradadi General Hospital in Tegal and Santa Maria Hospital in Pemalang, Central Java.
