Bali, April 30, 2024 – PT Pertamina Bina Medika – Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC), a state-owned hospital holding, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SingHealth, the largest public healthcare group in Singapore, on cross-sharing of clinical practices, innovation, training to improve the quality of healthcare.

 

The MoU was signed by IHC President Director drg. Mira Dyah Wahyuni, MARS, and Prof. Ng Wai Hoe, Group CEO of SingHealth, at The Meru Bali, witnessed by Singapore’s Minister for Health, Mr. Ong Ye Kung and Prof. Kenneth Kwek, CEO of Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and representatives from Indonesian Ministry of Health, Coordinating Ministry of Maritime and Investment Affairs, and Ministry of State-Owned-Enterprises.

 

SingHealth, with its acute hospitals, national specialty centres, community hospitals and polyclinics, has a well-earned reputation for delivering high-quality healthcare services. For example, Singapore General Hospital (SGH), SingHealth’s largest acute tertiary hospital in Singapore provides comprehensive patient-centered care with over 50 clinical specialties on its campus and is ranked number 11 in the world by 2024 according to Newsweek magazine.  Through this MoU, IHC will gain access to SingHealth's knowledge and expertise in areas such as hospital management, staff training, and research and development.

 

“We are committed to improving the quality of healthcare services through close collaboration with SingHealth. With the signing of this MoU, IHC enters a new era of collaboration that will bring great benefits to both IHC and the people of Indonesia,” said drg. Mira.

 

The collaboration will target three strategic priority areas. The first is Clinical Excellence, which underscores the importance of quality, patient safety, and research based on evidence-based practices. The second is Operational Excellence, focusing on enhancing customer experience through innovation and transformation. Lastly, People Excellence will concentrate on the continuous development of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and management.

 

It also includes initiatives such as training for doctors and nurses, joint research, complex case management, as well as collaborative activities in medical education and professional development.
