Dr. Robert Lim is an esteemed medical oncologist with a distinguished career spanning over 25 years. He obtained his medical degree (MBChB) from the University of St Andrews and the University of Edinburgh, followed by postgraduate training in Internal Medicine, Haematology, and Medical Oncology at The New York Hospital – Cornell University Medical College and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He holds American Board certifications in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Haematology and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh).

Since returning to Singapore in 1998, Dr. Lim has developed special clinical expertise in biliary tract cancer, colorectal cancer, esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, liver cancer, and pancreatic cancer, while accepting referrals for all cancer types.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Lim has co-authored major studies in colon and pancreatic cancer that have influenced medical guidelines. As the former Head of the Department of Haematology-Oncology at NCIS (2005–2011), he played a crucial role in developing new drug treatments and improving cancer care for Asian populations. He has also contributed to medical education by serving on the Specialist Training Committee in Medical Oncology, mentoring numerous doctors in internal medicine and oncology.
