Dr. Tan Yew Oo is a highly experienced medical oncologist with a distinguished career spanning over four decades. He has held key leadership positions, including Professor of Medicine at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and Chief of Medicine at National University Hospital (NUH). As Head of the Division of Haematology-Oncology at NUH, he played a pivotal role in establishing the specialty of Medical Oncology in Singapore.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Tan remains actively involved in medical education and healthcare policy. He serves on various medical boards and committees, including the Clinical Risk Group of SingHealth, MediShield Life Council, National Advisory Committee on Cancer, and Complaints Committee of the Singapore Medical Council. His contributions to healthcare were recognized with the Public Service Medal at the 2020 National Day Awards.

Dr. Tan has been invited as a speaker at regional and international medical conferences and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. He is also involved in clinical trials and accepts referrals for all cancer types, with special clinical interests in breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, liver cancer, lung cancer, and lymphoma.
