A surgical method to remove or “strip” the affected vein through small incisions. Recommended for patients with larger or more advanced varicose veins where EVLA may not be suitable.
Varicose veins are bluish, enlarged veins that often appear on the calves or inner thighs due to weakened or malfunctioning valves. This causes blood to pool in the legs, leading to visible bulging and discomfort.
If left untreated, varicose veins can cause more serious issues such as bleeding, skin ulceration, and deep vein thrombosis that may lead to pulmonary embolism.
